dear ones,
thank you for your prayers and encouraging comments. it is one
of the sweet blessings of the blog community that i have grown
to love.
the next few months hold an amazing plethora (shelby!) of happy
events. i am singing the soprano solo in schubert's 'mass in G' on
april 3rd which will require a great deal of deliberate work. my
optimistic conductor tends to think i can do more than i am able.
just a few short weeks after that, we will complete our mountain
cabin which will also take lots of attention . . . and fun. right
now there are 12 foot high drifts of snow icing the cabin like an
extravagant wedding cake.
life is full, and i am grateful.
love,
lea

I just googled and listened to Schubert's Mass in G - Oh my, how beautiful and what a delight your soprano must be.
Your icing snow drifts are amazing, too. Don't worry, Spring's not far off.
Love,
Dawn
Congrats on singing Schubert. The small peek you gave us of your cabin is stunning. What a beautiful getaway that will be. God bless.
How exciting on singing this solo...congratulations. I would love to hear it. That pic of your cabin looks wonderful. Soo many blessings in your near future. ENJOY!! HUGS
I am so happy for you and of course you can do it. Your cabin will be wonderful to go home too. You have so many things to look forward to and as always I will keep you in my prayers.
May God grant you good health and rest as you prepare to sing such an amazing piece for His glory! (and I hope we'll get a cabin tour--or at least a peek--this summer!)
Congrats ... you will bring so much joy through your singing... Your cabin is going to fabulous and provide the perfect family retreat ....xo HHL
Praising God in the highest for gifting you with a voice for Schubert. I pray that this mountain cabin is a place where that "rest" can happen often and regularly, Lea. Thank you for your comment to me about "rest". We all are in need of that rest in the loving and comforting arms of Jesus.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
Is that really your cabin!!??? Wow ... that is a LOT of snow!!! I'm impressed ... and a little afraid.
And singing a soprano solo? Wow ... that is even more impressive. I'm sure your conductor wouldn't have you do it if he/she didn't think you would excel!
Love, love , LOVE the log cabin!
I think you need to video your solo and play it for us!! :)
lea, you have such a beautiful spirit. prayers to all....i always tell my family that tomorrow is never promised to us...and to make the very best of each day - love each other like crazy.
you are blessed to be able to sing...i can't carry a tune in a bucket!
how fun to have a cabin!

I would so love to hear you sing ... will anyone be taking a video? As for the cabin ... its looks so desirable ... how exciting to be finishing it all off.
Oh you can do it...I would love to hear your voice, applauding from Texas.
The cabin looks just wonderful...have fun, have fun! What a joy and wonderful place to fill with memories.
Spring is peeking its way through the ground...enjoy this new season!
Continued prayers for our friends as they go through their adjustments
Don't be impressed...if you noticed the blog before it is amazing I didn't bite all their heads off...besides our son's 22nd birthday was yesterday (13th)...so I had all 10 of us here...yes the little guy keeps me going, otherwise I would close up ship...LOL
Lea,
You've got soooo much going on! I'm glad they're all happy things.:)
Have a Happy Valentine's Day Friend.
If I didn't think you're so sweet,
I'd be jealous of that cabin. What
a joy to have a place like that to
go and relax. Of course, we can
have His peace and relax anywhere.
Right?
You will do very well as you sing
your solo and bring glory to God
in the process.
Did you see my little guy yet?
The new post is about him.
Love,
Sandy
I hope you can tape your solo to share with all of us! Come on everybody, all together now:

Life sounds so busy and full and wonderful for you. You are enjoying it and not taking any of it for granted, I am certain. Now, like Dawn, I'm going to Google the song and see what a wonderful piece of music you are practicing.
Congrats on your singing, and on the finishing of your cute cabin.
That is a lot of beautiful white snow...:) I am sure your voice is just as beautiful as this photo.
Saying a prayer for you today my sweet friend.
xoxo Gloria
Good luck with the solo, I am a soloist also and I know how much work that takes! The cabin sounds great! ;D

Conductors have a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge, and they know... you will do a beautiful job, Lea!
I can't believe your cabin is almost done. Wow - that was quick! You do get a lot more snow where you are!!!
Wishing you a lovely day,
Zuzu
I look forward to your upcoming solo and hope you enjoy your time in your beautiful cabin and the Colorado snow!!

LEA!!!! THAT MOUNTAIN OF SNOW...it looks like the one outside my new French doors in our GARDEN! But, we had a great thaw yesterday and due for another today so my mountain is slowly dripping away! Thank you dearest for visiting me; I do hope your Valentines was a glorious one. You are singing, eh? HOW LOVELY! That is one thing I cannot do! Have a blast and enjoy all the beauty! Anita
I would love to hear you sing! Love your cabin.
Beautiful thoughts are sent your way!
Blessings,
Cheri
Love the meringue drifts surrounding your warm refuge there.
I'd love to hear you sing that...I can hear your soaring voice now.
One thing I love is a person of influence who thinks you can do more than you can, because they're usually right. You can do it! I wish I could be there to hear it!
A mountain cabin makes me swoon. I am not at all a beach girl. Give me the mountains any day! What a great place you'll have there. Enjoy! And I love your descriptive wording about the wedding cake. You are crazy skilled with the words. :)
I miss hearing your beautiful voice! Wish I could be there to hear you sing the solo. I am sure it will be wonderful!!
