Wow, your house looks like mine with all of that music equipment! I used to think that their little toys cluttered up the house. Now, I have keyboards, guitars, mics and stands, and amps all over the place. But the great thing about that is the house full of music that comes along with those things. Carla

For those of us without children, that clutter looks very nice indeed.

I will think of this the next time I find a lone Polly Pocket shoe in my refrigerator...or trip over the line-up of stuffed animals in my living room floor...or my bare foot steps into a small pile of cracker crumbs... :)

Those laptops all over the kitchen table made me laugh out loud. My oh my how things have changed!

I asked our music minister's wife if it would get any easier when our 4 boys got older (mine are 1.5, 4, 6 and 8...her boys are all in junior high and high school). She tossed her head back and laughed, "No, it changes...but it doesn't get easier. But, they do get big enough to clean their own bathroom!" Yeehaw, for that, at the very least!

Lea, The scripture reference to your portion and your "cup" is spot on, because the tea sets being relegated to the floor behind your table to make for ducklings - uugh, I mean keyboards - made me laugh.

Picking up after teens is infinately more complicated than picking up after our toddlers, isn't it.

Loved this post.

Hi. The mess in your house sure looks very expensive.:-) I guess, with children, a home can never be without messes. I love the bible verses you put in all your posts. Thanks for sharing.:-)

Bonjour Lea,
thank you for sharing such a beautiful verse!
I can completely understand about the clutter.. music instruments, electronics, books and toys (dogs toys too!); however, I wouldn't have it any other way =)
Wishing you a lovely weekend!
