squirrely stuff

my dog, jack, was barking his fool head off.
"squirrel! squirrel!!  squirrel!!!"

i'm not sure if it's the same squirrel who torments
him morning, noon, and night, but i would like
to thump him.

yesterday, the pesky varmint frittered across our
swimming pool on top of the net.  i think he was
daring jack to come get him.   had jack not been
such a wise dog, he would have bounded out, and
sunk through the net.

i'll be danged if i let a squirrel kill my dog.

love,
lea

Squirrels are not our friends. One got in my studio Thanksgiving night and destroyed it, and I wasn't very thankful. Broken porcelain was everywhere!

At least you know you have a very good guard dog, who is trying to warn you and save you from the evil squirrels!

That photo is wonderful. It's possums that annoy us. We don't have squirrels in Australia. I was so excited the first time I saw one when visiting the USA.

♥ the photo! Must share with Hubster as we have a colony in our backyard!

Ahhh, so true. There's nothing worse than a squirrel in the house or in the walls. They are not all cuteness and light that's for sure. I think that Jack needs to be wearing that military gear. All the best as you attempt to "thump" that pesky varmint.

Go get him! I've already had a good chuckle here this morning. I am not a fan of squirrels either. They jump off of the tree onto our roof and I can't think of one good reason for wanting them up there. Good for Jack!

Oh, this is funny. My Milo goes crazy over squirrels, too! They have fun with him I think!

Our little Tobias hates squirrels and all I have to say is "squirrel!" and he runs to the door and tries his best to catch them. I dislike them most because they are sneaky and eat so many of the sunflower seeds from our feeders that I put out for the birds. Toby needs some combat gear too as some of the squirrels here are nearly as big as he is!

Glad to know that Jack escaped the lures of a rat with a fluffy tail! 😏

too cute...my father-in-law had a bb gun next to the sliding door to pop them with...it didn't kill them just stung...they would eat his pecans!

You go girl!!

I think squirrels are a dog's worst enemy.... especially when said dog is being walked on a leash. Squirrels are not stupid. Evil little creatures.

Squirrels can be very smart. My neighbour has a bird feeder next door. It's designed for only birds - not squirrels. Yet, the pesky things manage to stand upside down and eat the bird feed.

I am so not a fan of squirrels. Actually, I refer to them as rats with fuzzy tails. They are just as destructive as a rat and a simply refuse to feed them like my neighbor does.

Sounds like you have a Squirrel infiltration. Time to bring in the big cats! ha!

Oh my!

You know that was absolutely intentional... and that there is no doubt that squirrel was daring him!

(Squirrels are a bit of a mascot of my husband's cancer fight - so we actually love them and those silly pictures!)
