emerald lake

thank you for visiting my trail in the joyce's pretty friday's hike.  if you
meander over there, you will see many more exquisite sights.

hailey and i took a gorgeous drive with my parents to emerald lake.
i'm disappointed that my photos don't quite reveal the deep green hue
of this lovely spot.

just on the other side of emerald lake, our front tire took an ugly
puncture from a sharp piece of slate, no doubt the wicked witch of
the west's maniacal scheme.

so, dorothy and company hiked on to the emerald city for a ride back
with the wizard . . .

. . .the end.

"the foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of
precious stone. . . the fourth was emerald."  revelation 21:19

Oh, I so believe you when you express your admiration for this lake....photos really do no justice to seeing such beauty...unless you are a professional photographer! But it is gorgeous and I think that bodies of water must be my favorite element of nature. Lovely tour, and thank you so much for the kind comments. INSPIRATION INDEED! Anita

How Pretty! I know what you mean when you can't quite catch the colors or beauty of a place that you are awed by.

It looks like an amazing place!

I love your letters to Emily. Your photography skills aren't too shabby either. :)

Being fairly new to the blogging world, I wanted to let you know how much of a blessing and encouragement your comments have been to me. Thaks for becoming a blog friend when I never really thought that ever happens.

Your pictures and your insight are beautiful. They make me want to be Emily.

Blessings.
