an inkling from thistle cove farm

well, i just can't believe that i won something and not just
anything, but the most lovely of all things.  a book!   my
family has accused me of loving books more than people,
which is a terrible indictment and NOT true, well maybe
a wee bit true.

anyway, sweet sandra of thistle cove farm just sent me the

inklings by jeschke, and i am so excited to dive into
it!

if you haven't visited sandra's lovely farm, you are in for a
treat.  it is worth it for the exquisite view that greets you, but
the real treat is the many wonderful things you will learn.
she's a sheepherding, horse ranching, business woman, who
is devoted to plain, simple, and elegant living.

her rich quotes and inspiring messages are a delight for the
soul, and her beautiful photos a feast for the eyes.

thank you, sandra, for my new treasure.  your blog has been
a treasure chest!

love,
lea

Congratulations on your win. I love books so much also. I just can't seem to ever have enough. We have so many bookcases in our home, yet I still have to double up the shelves to house them all.

Thank you for the link, I have never visited her before.

I would be overjoyed if I won any book. The one you won sounds very nice. Since the people like C.S.Lewis, Dorthy Sayer and JRR Tolkien are some of my favorites and going to Oxford has always been a dream. Give a book report after you finish reading it. I am curious about it since I do not read romance stuff either.

Oh, how I LOOOOOVE books. Especially old ones (over 100 years old). I just adore the writing from that 1800s. And the smell of them. Oh mercy. Love that smell.

Oh, I'm sorry. Got lost in the daydream there for a minute! :-) Congrats on the win! That always feels good, doesn't it?

It was great to hear from you today. You are a blessing!

Lucky you and your right the view from Thistle Cove farm is wonderful.

We're book lovers here too, though I rarely read fiction these days. I find it too engrosing and forget all my chores until I reach the last page. Not good for marital bliss.

Congratulations!!!

And in regard to your comment, on my "Blogger Troubles" post.... You wondered why we stay with Blogger, and don't move to another one...

Because I tried that once. And had a disaster on my hands. A disaster!

So no matter how much "trouble" Blogger throws at me now and then, I'm staying. I tried jumping [blog home] ship and nearly drowned. Eeeeek!!!

Gentle hugs....

Are you enjoying the book?

I'm fine, other than a nasty cold and I have a horse that needs some TLC and prayer.

We're home from Dave's biz meeting and then celebrating his birthday in...

London and Oxford! Can you believe it? My mouth is hanging open and I was there...chuckle, chuckle.

When I'm over jet lag and feeling a tad better, I'll catch up and blog about the trip.
