max lucado

while visiting our son max yesterday, he told us a funny story.
apparently max lucado spoke at his university's chapel and did
such a fine job that our max went forward to thank him.

"hey mr. lucado, awesome message!  i wanted to tell you that
when i was in the fourth grade, i played punchinello from the
book you wrote.  also, i thought you should know that i took
your daughter to a date party last semester.  oh,  and my name
is max, too."

max, the father of the daughter, the author of punchinello, and
the speaker of the chapel, patted the long-winded max on the
back and said, "i like you, young man."

i told max it would have been pretty fun if he could have said,
"well, sir, i like your daughter."  he really needs me to write
his scripts.

love,
lea

Very cute story! By the way, my husband and I went to college with Max and his wife. Couldn't help but wonder if your Max is at the same university. Just guessing but thought it was a slight possibility that Max Lucado's daughter attends his alma mater.

Love this little story...I tend to give way too much information when I'm under pressure, so I totally relate. Thank you so much for your visit. So very thoughtful of your husband to help our feathered friends with their nest building...that is so funny...smile on...Rosie

It's what he would've said, were he in a romantic comedy movie, starring Adam Sandler. :-)

With you a script writer he'd never fail to amuse and inspire. Maybe you should think of taking over from Max Lucado.

Yes, bizarre indeed! :) You made me laugh about the bottle and the ocean.

Of course I read your (most excellent) blog! I can't believe you read MINE!

Oh, and Francis Frangipane.... that quote is automated. I actually haven't read him, but upon your recommendation, I will now!

Oh, and you're welcome to email me directly. jydardeau at bellsouth dot net.

Darling story. Loved it, thank you for sharing. Glad that we found eachother again, my blogger went a bit 'off' and lost a great number of my blogs. Have a great week.

Your son sounds fun!

I am laughing hysterically at the comment you left on my blog today... about a mom reading blogs... TOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like something out of a novel.

Oh, and I have the same problem with flea markets... but I can top not finding good stuff at a flea market in the USA... I couldn't find anything in a flea market in PARIS... now that's just plain sick!!! But like you, all I see is junk... and I'm always suspicious that it isn't REALLY Parisian! LOL. But I'm determined to try again this fall... if Scott dares to take me over there again.

I just realized you are not on my blogroll... must remedy that!

You must have a very brave son! This is such a cute story. My son (in seminary) had Max (the authour) at his university last month too. But my son didn't date his daughter.
So funny!
