men are from . . . way farther away than mars

dear emily,

hans and i were driving home from a father's dinner at my brother's new
house.   i had on shorts and he (my husband, not my brother) had his hand
on my leg ( i know, TMI.)   he would lift his hand and then put it down. . .
lift it, replace it, etc.

i couldn't help but think about every night, when he does the same thing.
just as i'm drifting off into a sweet dream, he lifts his hand, then replaces
it, and BOOM!  i'm wide awake.   the fourth time, he gets my elbow.

so, as we're driving along, i said, "would you like to know the secret to
happiness?"

that got his attention.

"if you would hold your hand still, it could stay a lot longer on my leg."

" . . . but it stops feeling like skin if i don't move it."

i give up,
lea

"again i say unto you, if any two of you agree on earth as TOUCHING
anything they shall ask, it shall be done for them by my Father in
heaven."  matthew 18:19

This is so funny because I am the same way. When Hubby would reach out and touch me during the night, BOING! I'm wide awake. For an insomniac like myself, this is not a good thing. So, we agreed to touch all we want to (TMI) before I attempt to go to sleep but not afterward. Thanks for being brave enough to broach the subject:)

THANK YOU LEA FOR COMING TO VISIT!!! Anita

LOL! Similar with hubby and myself - I will begin to fall asleep as we are snuggling in bed, and then be wide awake once he turns over. But he "has" to turn over because that side gets "stale". o.O

LOL! Cute story, but it's true how men think much differently! :)

Love this Lea! And yes, we females are wired differently.

When my hubby pats me in the night it means I am snoring again and he's trying to shut me up. He's the one that's wide awake, not me :-)

So sweet, and I can't go to sleep at night unless we are touching. As soon as I feel his skin I am out like a light.

So sweet and yet I am also laughing! Because those times of waking up in the night now causes me to NOT go back to sleep...oh, my menopausal body. This is great...yes they are farther away than mars!!
Fun post!

Giggling and just wondering... exactly what does it start feeling like if he doesn't move it?

Have a great week, we finally have the most beautiful fall weather here lately. I don't want to come inside ever these few short weeks!

PS- here's hoping you get a good night sleep tonight! My hubby isn't home many nights, if he wakes me up when I am going to bed, it's usually because he texts me at midnight!
