An Ode to John Fogerty

dear emily,

some day when your crew grows older and comes home for happy weeks
at a time, this is what your kitchen will enjoy.    max is on the right, hidden
beneath a baseball cap.   they saved the best part for the last.

he's my huckleberry!

love,
lea

Oh I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this! They are REALLY good. How i would love if my kids could do this but alas they take after their parents! Enjoy your day!

Now I have that tune dancing in my head.

Yeehaw!! That was great! We're all sitting here tapping our feet. I hope my boys make music like that someday. :D

Everything about that video - from the twang of the banjo to the Oklahoma sunshine streaming in through your kitchen window - made my heart glad. Way to go, Maxim! And thank you for posting, Lea!

That was great! Bet they can sing at your table anytime...I did wait until the end! Loved the harmonica playing, too. Very talented guys...the baseball capped one belongs to you?

Great tribute to one of my favorites, John Fogerty. sang along in front of my PC, while the daughter enjoyed the music in our kitchen.

I am sitting in my bed. The house is quiet. Two older ones have gone. They come back and we laugh so hard we cry. Good times.

Loved the music~

I can so imagine you enjoying having the kids around you, making merry in the kitchen even if they empty the fridge faster than you can fill it.

Oh how fun...I am showing Benjamin because I pulled out the dusty banjo the other day...what a delight!!!

Now how could I not know about cars with five boys?? LOL

What a fun musical family...they most have gotten it from their mom!

Oh, Lea, this is wonderful! How talented those young men are! I grew with folks at my parents' home nearly every night singing and playing the guitar, banjo, fiddle, French harp.... and yes, sometimes spoons! This nearly makes me cry... but in a good way! :)

I like that! I hope they play for you often.

And I liked the line at the end when one of them asked if he could get a group hug. :)

Thanks for your comment on my "animal" post. True feelings from my visitors are never boring.

Ilo and I just watched this and loved it! What a dream come true--I have high hopes for my littles in the music department...they are so inspired by your "littles"!

OOOHHHHHHHH, so wishing my kitchen could enjoy the same thing!!! Can they be persuaded by (more) free food or something??? My kitchen will enjoy motorcycle parts and more motorcycle parts(did I mention I have two bikes spending the winter months in my basement???) I would take the music every time!

Hope you and your family are all well and are enjoying a fabulous February! Don't know how I missed all your posts, but love them all. I adore this sweet spot you have carved out for all of us to enjoy here on the www. Give all those bigs boys in your kitchen a big hug and a kiss from all of us who enjoyed them so immensly!
