as i walked by the huge reflective windows of a parked car, i thought,
"can i do it?"   i hate that i'm drawn to want to check my appearance, so
i set my eyes like steel away from the window and walked on by.

these are the kind of neurotic thoughts that float through my wobbly
brain.   beyond that, then i wonderered, "is it worse to look or not to
look?" . . . and then discover hours later that, yes, indeed, my hair was
sticking out all over the place like a dandelion.

i read a hilarious facebook post today.   the zesty writer explained that
she slathered her face with a new sample foundation without a helpful
mirror.   later,  when she did look, her face was as white as a geisha
girl's.   not really the 'look' she was going for.

to look or not to look, that is the question.

face to face."  1 corinthians 13:12

Look! I have a mirror right by the front door. Yes, I've made it easy for myself. "Neurotic thoughts that float through my wobbly brain" ahhh, I like that line.

Too, too I will not bother my husband when he looks...I have always given him such a hard time for looking anytime he passes something that reflects

You are tooooooooooo funny, gifted writer

Cute! It's one of those questions that never has a clear answer, you think? You don't want to appear vain, yet you don't want to present a messy appearance. Oh the conflict!

My thought is a quick glance. Of course, I will question your vanity if you "glanced" for too long :) Just a quick glance to make sure I didn't tuck my skirt into my pantyhose, all buttons are actually buttoned, no lipstick on my teeth, and no feathers in my hair (I need a new pillow!). Yes, all of these things have happened to me.

P.S. Thank you for the comment on my blog. Much appreciated.

If you can't do anything about it, don't look.
If you can, do look!

Ha ha. I don't have any full length mirror at home so it is rather horrifying to see my profile reflected in a shop window so I don't look.

Another thing I have discovered I look ever so much better in the mirror of a morning if I leave my glasses off.

I look, but regardless of whether my hair is standing up or not, I'm perfectly happy with how I look! My sister gets so frustrated with me, because sometimes I get interviewed on TV and I don't bother to fix my hair or makeup! I don't know why but I'm perfectly comfortable with myself! Thank God!
