your faithful prayers and precious words of encouragement have
been such a gift. it is difficult to express to those who do not
blog that there is such love here.
we have not heard anything from my friend's son, but it appears
that he is 'away' on his own volition. our prayers are for his
safety and his swift return.
did any of us EVER imagine, when our babies were so sweet
and stayed where we lay them, that someday they would lay
us on our faces?
no one has drawn me to come as "all ye faithful," not always
joyful and triumphant, but "to adore Him" than my children.
thankfully, He "always leads us in triumph in Christ."
(2 corinthians 2:14)
gratefully,
lea

Thank you for the update ~ will continue to pray. Another beautiful blogger, Dianne, is featuring prayers for her family this month at
http://www.everythingelsethrownin.net/ I'm learning a lot there, about prayer and about myself.
A similar situation happened here
with one of my son's friends. He
simply walked out his parents
door one day and they had no idea
it would be over a week before
they would see him again. They
did not know where he was going
when he left or anything. When
he came home he agreed with them
that he needed help and went away
to Teen Challenge where he is
doing well. Our kids don't know
what they put us through I don't
think. Just wait until they are
parents.
Still praying for this young man.
Love,
Sandy
At least it could be worse. Someone could've taken him. I pray that he returns. It can't be good for his parents and family.
He can't know how painful his absence is for his parents. If he did, he wouldn't have done it, I don't think.
So eloquent and humble, Lea.
God is a restorer, I pray every Christmas image drives home that reminder to your friend in these days ahead.
Hi Lea, I was just going to tell you that if your friend reads blogs, I am featuring Jennifer Kennedy Dean's writings about prayers for our families this month. And then I noticed dear Susy had already mentioned it.
I don't know her personally but taught the PrayingLife Bible study to the ladies in my church. It was a wonderful study.
In fact, yesterday I ordered the prayer cards from Jennifer's website to stick in my daughters-in-law's stockings--Hoping to keep this "Legacy of Prayer" going in my family.
Praying for your friend's precious son--
And yes the love and faithfulness of Christian bloggers has overwhelmed me also.
Love,
Dianne
Lea I am so very sorry to have found this when I stopped by this morning to say hello. I will pray for your friend and her son. How sad and horrible this is for her and you.
Glad you shared this so we can get the prayers out there.
Love
Maggie
thanks for the update. I'll be in prayer for him and his parents.
Thanks for letting us know. I prayed for the boy and the family all weekend. I will continue to pray.
Thanks for the update , Lea
Yes and amen...those blesses(my children) have brought me to the Lord more than anything in my life...therefore, they are truly blessings, because of them I have met my Savior in deeper ways
Continuing to pray
Thanks for the update and your lovely Christmas message and photo.
I hate to think of the anguish his parents must be feeling as they wait to hear something. Praying...
Lea, thank you for the update. I have been praying for him.
Thank you for this update Lea. I have been wondering and praying for all.
OH man I didn't see the prayer request until just now but that is so scary....I will be praying. One thing I notice is that really no one is immune to suffering. I have had friends left and right come underneath trials lately. We all go through them and even in the darkest situations Jesus will bring us through. I hope they hear something soon!
I am posting soon a link to a blog of a family in our church who just found out their daughter has stage 3 lymphoma and has had a surgery and just started chemo....they need tons of prayers too. So hard.
Thank you for the update! As hard as it is thankfully he is safe and not "missing".

Oh dear, I missed reading your blog for a few posts until today. So sorry to hear about the absent "son". How painful for his family - particularly his Mom. I am praying for the Lord to reveal Himself in a special way to him. Am also praying the Lord will wrap His arms around the family.
Love,
Leslie
Oh sweet friend...yes I will pray for him to come home safe and sound...and for his dear dear family....hugs and love. xoxox
Amen to your words!
Oh my friend.. I Have been dealing with some things on my end and have not been visiting. I will go back and catch up ... in the meant time , know my prayers are going out to you and your friend's son..xo HHL
Was hoping to find good news posted here. Your message, as always, is so beautifully put. Beautiful!
Lea:
I thought I posted here earlier tonight, but I must not have punched it through.
Yes, it is through our children that we have learned some of the hardest and best things in life, about who we are and who God is, and about His faithfulness in all of it.
My prayers continue for this young man, and for his family. Whatever is going on, there is pain for all involved, and I pray for comfort, healing and His help.
Thanks for keeping us posted.
i have just found you and will surely pray for your friend, her son and their family... what a heart breaking situation....blessings to you for sharing this with us.
xx pam
"...I once was lost but now I'm found..." Our children lose their way along the way but with prayers they will come home. I will continue to pray. xo Jenny
I am thankful to know that he is okay. Praying for this young boy's swift return and for restoration of this family.
I've prayed for him and his folks several times each day. There is no precedent for this kind of thing. No parent can ever brace themselves for it.
I hope he calls them or has someone send them a postcard or other communication so they know he's alright.
My heart goes out to them and him.
Hi Lea,
Thanks a lot, for letting us know :-)
Hope he is doing great.. kids are like this. ..sometime do some stupid things. its hard to guess.. I had also done something similar of this kind...
but its nice to hear.. And I pray n wish he will fine and be back home very soon.
You are so caring. .I feel blessed having such a wonderful friend like you :-))
Take care
keep smiling :-)
Thank you for the update. I am continuing to remember your friend & family in my prayers.
I know I did not think that my children would EVER make me lay on my face. Thank God he carries us through the scary moments we all face with our children, especially when they are adults and decide which way they will go.
I hope you are staying cozy and warm with your family. Enjoying this Christmastime with them!
xoxo Gloria
Just checking in.. Hoping and praying for a happy reunion for your frind's family with their son.. xo HHL
(Sorry, I just messed that up too much.)
Thank you for explaining that he is away of his own choosing. Still praying for him, for wise choices to be made, and for his parents and family as they wait on the Lord to do His work. May they know deep and abiding comfort.
A mother's heart aches like no other...
I tell my daughter, who is the mother of a 6 month old and a three year old, to enjoy this time when she has a sense of control over her world. They do grow up...as it should be... but that doesn't mean it's easy on mom.
So glad he appears to be ok. Praying...
Teri
Thanks for the update. I love the scripture you post about triumph, That is important to remember...especially when it looks like anything but. God can turn it all right side up.
My heart breaks for your friend and her family, I pray that this Christmas season will come upon him and like the prodigal son, he returns home to loved ones who rejoice in his homecoming.
It always amazes me that now my kids are older and no longer toddlers, I don't have to keep an eye on them every minute of the day, but I still have to worry over them every minute of the day!
Have a wonderful week,
Kate
Thank you for sharing your testimony on my latest post, Lea! It is wonderful! Isaiah 40:11 comes to mind. It is always a delight to have you stop by!
Sweet blessings, my friend!
I so hoped to find good news hear already.
Sending positive energy across the ocean blue.
I hope your advent season is wonderful so far, sweet Lea.
Stay cozy and warm xxxx
