home for Christmas

dear emily,

i'm not certain barrett jones will be home for Christmas, but am
happy to say that he has contacted his family and seems to be ok.
thank you for your continued prayers for his family as they sort it
all out.

life is complicated, messy, and painful . . . but so much better than
the alternative, as mark twain used to say.

my favorite early Christmas present is the photo you sent of your
precious #2 and tiny baby bird.  i could hold her for  the rest of
my life and never get my fill.

i'm signing off until after the holidays, because i want to be fully
invested in all the happy moments.   merry Christmas and may
your new year be full of peace and plenty.  (i stole that from
father tim.)

love,
lea

I am so glad. The work may still be ahead, but safety and knowing where he is had to come first. Prayers will continue for this family. I am so relieved they have talked with him.

Merry Christmas Lea! Enjoy the days and your precious ones. I plan to do the same.

Hugs!

Wonderful to hear that they have heard from Barrett. Prayers will continue.

You are a wise woman to fully invest yourself in your family time. We'll be here when you return.

Planning to read Jan Karon's newest Father Tim book over the holidays. It came out a few months ago but I've been waiting until I had time to savor it.

Blessings on you and yours!

It is good to know and his family can have some peace this Christmas. What struggles children have growing up and ones we share with them as perents. Praise God, He is with us through them all if we let him in. In Holland I see so many families who don't know Him. Being a progressive modern country they have lost the most important thing in life. Pray for the Dutch who don't know Jesus this Christmas. Otherwise, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. <:3 Jenny

My dear sweet friend, I've read your posts on poor Barrett...he will be in our prayers. What a sad time for this to happen!

Hey, on a lighter note. LOVED your birthday card! You are such a hoot! I am keeping that card with all my memorable treasures. I am so thankful for God to have met you. The other day my twins were on You Tube, looking for the hottest new music. I said "Hey! Check out Sunday Lane!" They thought I was off my rocker, but they checked it out and said "That is seriously good music!"

Have a Merry CHRISTmas Lea, and a very Happy New Year...

Love you bunches,
Debby

Oh Lea...I have been following and praying fervently from afar. I must say I am wiping tears away with my sleeve right now. I can NOT even begin to imagine the suffering these parents have been going through..sick with worry...But OH, GOD is faithful.
I have MANY favorite verses but the promises in this collection of verses are Very close to my heart.
6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
I cling to these precious words daily.
Now...I just wanted to thank you, for the L*O*V*E you sprinkled all over my site through out this last year and wish you and your beautiful family All the JOY this perfect season brings...MERRY CHRISTMAS dear one xoxo...Rosie

NO!!! Lea...so sorry...she was MIA from the caroling party and missed the family picture...that is her in the second picture. She is my strong-willed 19 year old. LOL
My prayers are continuing to be with you all and I keep hugging your friend in my heart!!

Merry Christmas sweet one....it is going to be one for us thanks to a precious friend. :) God is good and faithful and I am praying that family will see His hand through this trial.

She loves to carol...she is the one who steals the show.(demands the show) Her band had an engagement that night and so she was off singing somewhere else. My kids started the caroling parties..the boys just stand in the background these days and laugh at Dad leading it....oh, my it will be fun to see what their kids pull on them. LOL
The boys wore retro vest to embarrasses us...you can't see them in the picture...so did their friends, so we looked like a group from the 80's!!!
Never a dull around here!!
