dear emily

i have the family's permission to release a picture and the name
of the precious young man who has been missing for over a
week now.

barrett jones

i could always count on barrett to speak to me very respectfully
and look straight into my eyes.   he traveled with my son on
mission trips and played basketball with him for four years.  the
faculty from his high school selected barrett to be their favorite
student of the year.

this is a special young man, and his lovely parents' hearts are
breaking.

yesterday, a missing baylor student called his family from a
church in arizona.   my prayer is that today, barrett will call
his family, too.

"to this i will appeal:

the years of the right hand of the Most High.
i will remember the deeds of the Lord;

yes, i will remember Your miracles of long ago.

i will meditate on all Your works and consider
all Your mighty deeds."  psalm 77: 11, 12

your prayers and your generous kindness are such a gift,
lea

He seems such a sweet young man.
If you're reading this, Barrett, there are so many of us here (strangers) appealing to you to at least call your parents. Their hearts must be breaking.
Of course, we can't know all that's happening in your life, but you're wise enough to do the right thing. I'm sure of this.

Lea, I shall be away for the hols. Going to spend Christmas with my in-laws. See you in the new year and be blessed.

One of the things about being a parent is that every child becomes your child, your heart rejoices and grieves with every parent.

Praying and trusting God for the very best outcome for Barrett and his precious hurting parents.

Thank you so much Lea, for letting us share his name and face. It makes our prayers firmer and more personal. Trusting with you all!!

Praying, Lea, with tears ... pleading with the Lord. Asking him to make haste ... David asked the Lord to make haste several times, so I think it is okay.

"Lord, please hurry him home!We are anxious to celebrate Barret's return."

Love you,
Cheri

My heart is aching for Barrett's family and for friends like you who obviously love him so much! He looks about the same age as my oldest son- I cannot imagine the torture that his family is going through.

I will be praying for all of them and that Barrett will return home safely Very soon!

Many, many prayers,

Dear Lea,
I offer prayers for Barett's return. May God keep him safe in the hollow of His hands.

Also I scrolled down and read some of your recent posts... the one about the boys singing in the school choir touched me heart so deeply.

Blessings be yours this Christmas week.

I have been through this experience, not with a child but my father and brother. There are no words that can ever express the love and empathy that we all have for the family of this sweet boy. Our collective energy and devotion to our kindred spirits will flow your way and connect us all as one. My blessing and prayers to your family.
