anniversary month

hans and i celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this month with
an elegant dinner and a lovely bottle of wine.  when we began dating
35 years ago, many people said, "you two will never make it!  you're
way too different."

that is exactly the reason we have been so happy.  he's the gregarious
extrovert who entertains my quiet, simple introverted self.

our daughter shelby recently saved each of our text message responses
to a question.  me:  "that sounds perfect.  love you."  hans sent five
paragraphs of scripture and encouraging words!

it is also shelby and dan's month to celebrate their second year.  they are
the source of goodness and strength to all who know them, especially us!

i'm linking with joyce for her "friday pretties" not because i think we're
pretty, but because i think anniversaries are PRETTY special!

love,
lea

always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."  1 corinthians 13:8,9

Happy Anniversary! Truly, God made each of you to compliment the other and then allowed you two to find each other. May He bless you with many more decades of marital bliss.

Gasp...beautiful.

Congrats to you my friend. Next month we celebrate 32. I was told my guy and I would never make it, too. Everyone said I was TOO YOUNG. I was...but that didn't stop me from marrying my beloved anyway.

I'd change nothing except one thing. I'd have waited until my guy finished school first...

Blessings~

Beautiful...so congratulations...we celebrated 30 just two months ago...our son and his wife, celebrated 5 years last week.
What a testimony of God's faithfulness when your marriage shows Him...even when they believed you wouldn't make it.
Enjoy!!! Celebrate!!! Rejoice!!!

I am laughing out loud at your comment about rotating the tires...I had to do that two...and my Dad would say, "if you are paying for those tires you won't burn rubber."
What is funny is I have never used those skills...but guess what, I had five boys...so I can go look under the hood of a car and talk with them on whatever they are doing...God has a sense of humor and my Dad prepared me, not for my mishaps, but for being a mother of boys....thanks for stopping by and having a laugh with me also!!!!

Happy Anniversary to you all! Tom and I celebrated our 11th year last month...I never thought I was the marrying type but it just goes to show what happens when you're swept off your feet by Mr. Right! p.s...you two look so sweet in your wedding picture...it's good to have people like you around to give others hope. Cheers.

so sweet-congrats to both of you :) we've just celebrated 10 years and I say all by the grace of God-we praise HIm-He is so good!
...the boys will be going to school this year, with work and fulltime school for hubby seems to be the right choice. I'm a bit sad but trust hubby is listening to the Lord and I know He will provide the opportunity despite our circumstances-God is so much bigger than the "stuff"!
...would love prayer on balancing roles of wife, mommy, sunday school etc. -some days are so overwhelming, again I say though how good our God is no matter what the circumstance. Thank you :)
Bless you Lea,
Bree
