delightful surprise!

hans and i were sitting on the covered porch watching the evening
rays filter through the soft rain.  it was pleasingly cool enough for
light jackets.  the fresh, clean scent was heavenly, and we were both
as content as two well fed cows.

and then our hearts leaped out of our chests, as we beheld the most
gorgeous rainbow appear.  rainbows are a sign of beauteous hope,
and i consider it an awesome privilege to see one.

i may never go home, now.

does anyone else see that pot of gold?

Rainbows make me so excited. To me they are such a tangible expression of God. I feel like I can see Him when I see a rainbow. I've been gone from the blogging world for a while! I have popped in on a blog or two occasionally but for the most part just absent....I like that I'm not sucked in to my computer so much but at the same time I miss the relaxation of just sitting down at my computer....

What a gift to see the rainbow from end to end! Here in the hills we mostly see arcs, but I'm not complaining! Such a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness!

What beautiful pictures! And cool enough for jackets, too. I'm starting to get jealous.

How lovely! I'm glad you snapped a photo of it.

While it was cool enough for you both to wear light jackets, the east coast is hot enough to qualify for Hell.

I LOVE that.. I too get a chill every time I see a rainbow. It's just one of those things you never outgrow. It's kinda like finding that 20 dollar bill in last winter's jacket pocket.. It's just a beautiful surprise.

I saw a rainbow one day from my mom's room in the ICU. I took it as a sign that she was going to recover from this. Slowly, but surely, that is happening. Everyone needs to see a rainbow now and then, to restore hope.

Oh! Glorious! From end to end... [sigh]. I might never go home either. :)

And I loved your simile: as content as two well fed cows. Awesome.

I am claiming the rainbow promise today. We have had so much tropical rain the last week here in Houston that we are about to float away. Thank you for the reminder of God's eternal care.

How beautiful indeed! Yes I see the pot of gold? Did you go get it? hee hee

I had to laugh at your comment about being content as two cows. That's quite a word picture :-)
